On 12 September 1997, in the wee hours of the morning, some neighbours noticed a bunch of oddly-shaped parcels delivered to the door of 70 Wooton Road. Shortly thereafter, a placard bearing only the words "Tortoiseshell House" was affixed to the large front door. Recently, there has been quite a bit of rustling from inside the House, and undoubtedly many renovations are taking place. What sort of House will it be when it is finished? the neighbours speculate, but they will just have to wait and see ...
